Join us at our upcoming conference!

Word on the street is that our upcoming conference is the place to be. It's coming up fast (February 9th, 2011) so be sure to register soon if you have not already.

This year is all about expanding the connections (or should we say "expanding the Connexions"?) that have been built over the years. Here at Connexions, we are expanding our content base to more effectively engage mainstream educational institutions by, among other actions, adding exemplary textbooks at the community college level. We are expanding our scope by continuing to update Enterprise Rhaptos, an installable version of the software that powers Connexions that is taking our OER publishing model around the globe. We are expanding our networks, our support base, and our Consortium membership.

This conference is all about you, whether you are expanding your software capabilities, your marketing scheme, or your teaching materials in your classroom. This conference is for developers, businesses, and instructors to come together and jointly expand our Connexions.

Some of the goodies we have in store for you:

  • keynote speech by Hal Plotkin (Senior Policy Advisor, Department of Education)

  • panels on how Connexions is being used for different educational levels

  • updates on Enterprise Rhaptos and Connexions' next steps

  • examples of projects around the globe that are utilizing Connexions

  • delicious food

  • in a fabulous museum-loaded location

Can't make the conference? You can still participate by watching a live webcast of the presentations and panels. (Note: The video streams will be active 20 minutes before the start of the conference.) A link will also be displayed on the Rice Webcast homepage (under "Today's Live Webcasts") on the day of the event (February 9th). These webcasts will also be archived on the Rice Webcast website and available after the conference.

For more information about the upcoming conference, check out our conference website.

You can learn more about past conferences, and even watch the archived webcasts, by exploring the conference section of our About Us page.
